Posted by Timothy on July 8, 2016 at 2:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Oh yes, Its been a while. Many things happened. I was accepted in UP-PGH for a year long internship. And its finally over (Thank God hehe). Basing on my experiences I can say that my work in PGH is a hybrid of a clerk, a resident, and a manong and those work not in the job description of others.

A clerk- Yes, we still do monitoring and different procedures like blood extractions, catheter placements...

Our life is like a whiteboard written and drawn of with different people. Some may just be written for a while but becomes an important note to our present. Some may be there a while longer to become a constant reminder of our endeavors. A few are permanently etched that neither becomes a fragment or relic of our memory, but becomes a principal key of our well being... a continuous memento on becoming a better person.

The significan...

Im on m duty inside the Intensive Care Unit. I have been monitoring this patient for 3 days. A 36 year old female who had Intracranial hemorrhage and now in coma (GCS 3). Her husband stood beside her holding her arms tightly. This picture was taken on her 37th birthday. This is what marriage is. This image reflects a true love in real life. Keeping each others oath and promises. Never letting go, never giving up.

We fought for the V-neck

V-neck signifies that you made through the first two years of medicine. It is the uniform rightfully worn by third year medical students who are almost in the pinnacle of their academic journey on becoming a physician.

Second year med is a lot harder than first year. When I was a freshman I rarely stay up late. But in 2nd year I learned what it literally feels like to be sleepless. Evens...

I almost finished the enrolment. I paid the shocking tuition fee amount. Thank you Auntie Emma for sponsoring me. My med-school years are and will be indebted to you :)

My enrolment seems a littlle early. Well, I am planning to take a vacation first in Bicol after leaving work and before embarking in a med-school battlefield. I need all the time I can get. God Bless us all :D

The 12 Steps of Enrolment

Posted by Timothy on March 3, 2011 at 6:39 PM Comments comments (0)

Enroling in a medicine school while working will require a lot of effort on my part. From the Enrolment procedure form they gave me, there are 12 steps for the enrolment. I better start early since I don't have that much time. Below is the form they gave me. Now I am at step 2. I still need to have my parents (in bicol) sign the acceptance letter.

Living alone in manila away from my guard...

Admiited to Med-School :D

After the long wait FEU-NRMF finally released the list of admitted applicants for the incoming Medicine students. I was really excited. I checked their website time to time for the result. Around 3:30PM, Friday, Feb 18,2011. They finally posted the list. As usual, I scanned the list beginning from the back. It was my destiny to be always at the end of the line/list since my surname is "Zagada" with a capital "Z"! It is a benefit on my side since I don't have a hard time locating my position. ...

A terrifying exam, a new phone and an optimized site

Posted by Timothy on November 28, 2010 at 1:19 AM Comments comments (2)

This three things are what I have and what to look for.

1. A terrifying exam- The NMAT exam will be on Dec 12. Oh yeah! This is a suicide mission. I know full well that I am not prepared. Why? Because I still havent't studied physics and the quantitative, verbal, inductive and perceptual acuity. Yeah I know it's a lot. It's all thanks to my favorite subject CHEMISTRY which took me a very short time to review ( I'm sarcastic here).  I did an assessment before my review. ...

I am really longing to buy my own laptop. This will be my biggest investement for now. I gott'a spend every peso wisely to buy it on my target date which is next month approximately August 13-17 2010.

As a kid I am always dreaming to buy things that I am unable to buy. I dreamt of a Nintendo Family Computer in my 1st grade of elementary and a playstation 1 on my 5th grade. When I say dream I mean it literally. In my sleep I dreamt that I have 6 thou...

"How it all Began!"

Posted by Timothy on June 24, 2010 at 9:57 AM Comments comments (5)

It was on Ocober 2009 when I began to live in Quezon City. Bringing with me my College Diploma, Resume, NSO Certificate of Birth, NBI clearance and my provincial (bicolano) accent,... I faced the "trueworld". Dismissed from my relaxed dependent life and from being my parents scholar, I cannot afford (or maybe my parents cant') to ask for any allowance. Thinking initially of working in Foodservice Industries, I applied for the position of management trainee. I weighed the advantages and disadv...
